These days it seems that every time you turn on the TV you hear something about Jersey Shore. Jersey Shore is probably one of the most watched and talked about programs on TV.  Although I have to say I can’t agree with some of their antics, I do have to give them credit for pushing the boundaries of fashion and creating new trends just about every episode with their unique style of dress and demeanor.  One of the accessories that is becoming a fashion must have is the unique chain style sunglasses that Snooki has been seen wearing on several of the episodes. These look a likes have been flying off our shelves thanks to our little orange friend and we can’t thank her enough.

Remember when you were a kid or, I guess, “back in the day” when baseball was so cool and everyone loved the Toronto Blue Jays? Yeah, those were the days. 1993 marked the last time the Toronto Blue Jays won the World Series, and Joe Carter was the man to do it. A baseball game and a moment that will never be forgotten; leaving the hit and Joe Carter as icons. Something else also became iconic when he made that hit: his awesome sunglasses.

When I walk down the street and see someone in those sunglasses, I always think and call them the “Joe Carter Sunglasses!” And what’s awesome is that you can still find styles that are like his.

Many people in today’s society don’t (as the saying goes) stop and smell the flowers.  What we need to do is slow down and enjoy life a little more; which brings me to the reason why we need to look around at hour neighborhood.

If you are unsure of what you should sell in your store, the best thing to do is look around. What do the people walking down the street wear? What is the trend that has flooded your streets? You should always be aware of what is around you. You may not like the style that is walking down the runway, but if you want to get ahead of the game, you need to follow suit.

It may not always be the trends either; just look at the type of people who walk by your store. Think of the age group you are marketing to and the style that would best suit them.

I was walking down the trendy streets of Main Street, Vancouver and I happened to notice what all the ladies were wearing for sunglasses. Something with a medium to large fit, dark neutral colors, and rhinestones.

I know what you’re thinking… Rhinestones?! Too glamorous. A bit over the top. Seriously ladies?! You can totally rock these out. There are so many different styles with rhinestones sunglasses that you will definitely find the style that is best suited for you. One of my favorite pair of sunglasses are the wayfarer rhinestone sunglasses.
